This Little Piggy

Oooh, we have a sweet little girlie turning 3 this week. She loves kitties, garden flowers, Bluey and Peppa Pig. Hee, hee–I mean, snort!

If you’re not familiar with Miss Peppa– you’re seriously missing a cultural event–because you see, Peppa is an English Piggy. Serious business, this. So between all the snorting–and there is a lot of snorting!– we have the most quirky piggy family with just the perfect English accents.

Our Miss T has loved this little ham hock forever. In fact, she could do a lovely rendition of Peppa’s snort almost before she could talk! And you simply MUST hear her say, “It’s a bit fun-nay” just like the proper British piglet. It’s adorable time 20.

Only stands to reason that she would need her very own Peppa for her birthday. Of course, of course.

Happy birthday sweetie. Grammy love you so much.

Snort-snort!

Territorial Guys

Looks like Rhen was sitting in Hobbe’s spot so Hobbe’s just pretended not to see him and sat there anyway.

Nothing presumptious about this crazy orange cat.

Good thing we adore him or he’d get punted. ha.

Lyla’s Surprise

Oh, our sweet little Lyla had quite a surprise for us this morning! Of course we knew she was expecting–because, well, you know, SOME things can’t be hidden. Har, har.

But what I was a bit unclear on, was when these bitty kitties would arrive. I thought more like the end of the month. Rhen said, “Heck no. Any day now.” To my utter shame, he was totally right. And here I’M suppose to be the childbirth expert.

Pffft. My awesomeness badge is totally tarnished.

Anyway, like last time, we were greeted with the teeny tiny sound of babies mewing from somewhere behind the big chair in the front room. We finally found her and her littles under a shoe rack in the corner. Good grief, cat.

She was so clever this time, that I had no idea how many she even had until the next day when she slipped away and I could snag a few pictures. Even with that, the space was so dark and awkward that it was all I could do to twist my arm in there for a quick snapshot–never mind holding and counting them.

We will, of course move them in a few days because…well, because I will need to see them up close and hold them and smush them–well, you know.

Besides, it’s never good to let a mom cat think she runs the place.

Even if it’s true.
