When you live in the house with a sweet baby Chompy and everyone goes away for the day…
you might think it would be peaceful and perfect.
But I’m telling you, it’s just quiet and weird.
There’s nobody sitting in the chair dropping their lunch on the floor.
There’s nobody poking this grumpy kitty.
There’s nobody calling me on the phone.
There’s no baby bear sleeping in this just right bed.
There’s nobody sitting in a barrel counting eggs.
There’s nobody doing the shopping…
or bringing home donuts…
or feeding the birds.
The princess is singing all by herself…
and there are no gates to scale…anywhere.
And I’m just sitting here…waiting…
for them all to come back.
Because when you live in a house with a sweet baby Chompy…
it’s just quiet and weird…
and peaceful’s not so perfect.
When my girls are gone, I enjoy the first hour. Then I can’t wait for them to come back!
Ohhh… I didn’t know you missed us sooo much! 🙂 Ha ha ha!!! The craziness isn’t ever gone too long! 🙂
Thanks for this… it’s very sweet!
Invite us over… We can change peaceful ANY TIME!! 😉
There is such a thing as toooo quiet.
:]
Good idea!!
Well, the next time I “borrow” Jillian, please DO come with her
🙂
I can completely relate. I too feel so overwhelmed by my rambunctious girls that quite often I long for the peace and quiet of being alone. And in those rare (very rare) moments when I obtain some moments of solitutde, I can’t wait until they are back. Go figure, lol.
Wow, man–thanks!
Pretty sure somebody wise planned it that way.
