Thwarted

If you know me–AT all–you know that one of my very favorite things to do on this earth is this…

and this…

and this…

and of course, this.

But with the colder temperatures that we’ve had lately, and all the snow and ice everywhere, I’ve added a little something to my winter wardrobe. It looks like…

this. While scurrying out to my car, I found a very slippery patch and crash landed in the driveway. Was quite certain I’d broken my hand. Luckily, I was just being a cry baby, and it’s only a bad sprain.

And sadly,  I’ve discovered something~

Creatures without usable thumbs, are at a terrible disadvantage to everyone else.

But I’m determined to fit that hook in there somehow and make it work.

Please wish me luck.

Oh, and you guys, please, be careful of those icy patches. No crocheting makes for a long winter indeed!

Razzleberry Camo

Hey–check out the new Bag-Bag that I’ve only been working on for TWO  WHOLE YEARS!!

Finally-finally it’s finished and ready for the Shop.

The Razzleberry Camo is thicker and more sturdy than is looks because of the type of shopping bags that went into making it. It’s quite likely, that this one will be a one-of-a-kind, simply because it was dang hard to make–and took forever. It’s made up of plenty of hot pink bags, some baby pink bags, maroon bags with some glitzy silver bags–scattered throughout.

Trust me when I say–the rosy diva look will be big this spring!

Off Season

A funny thing happens around here this time of year.

Superbowl is over. No more Patriots. No more Vikings. No more football…

at least on T.V. that is.

I must admit—the best part of this cherished “Iron Giant vs. The Smurfs” playoff…

is having front row seats on the 50 yard line…

and all the Cheetoes we can eat.

Stuff To Love…

on this Valentine’s Day.

Since I don’t actually have my own “sweetheart” per se, I’ve decided that I’m pretty close to being in love with the UPS man…or maybe it’s just the truck. Just seeing it pull up in front of the house, makes my heart pound. It must be love!

I positively love having a daughter that can machine quilt my sewing projects like some kind of magical pro. I mean, seriously–check out those hearts. Amazing.

My sweet kitties–Beany and Jiff–who utterly refuse to sleep somewhere other than my bed. ~sigh…

Homemade potato salad, made the right way. You know, with my mom’s recipe, only I added chopped pickles, which she never would have done, but it’s fabulous–so we’re good. Don’t tell her.

The greatest creation in the cookie decorating world since sugar sprinkles. I mean it.

A boy with a very new suit…who is leaving soon.
