The Lion King

Ooooh-hooo…lookey where we got to go–thanks to our sweet little Jillian. She saw Lion King in London and would positively not allow us to miss it when it came here, to our very own town.

But first, for the sake of the evening, we simply had to go to the Melting Pot for dinner. It was an amazing place with melted cheesy fondue in pots on the table with bread and veggies to dip into it.

And then…then…

they brought out the chocolate…and all the incredible things to dip into it.

Yeow.

I personally thought it would be a good idea if they just pulled out pillows and blankets and just let us sleep over. It was that good and the only thing that would have made it even better would have been to not be rushed.

Ahh…but we had a show to get to.

Sadly, this is the only shot I was allowed to take–before the show started. We were strictly forbidden to take any kind of pictures once the play started…and I didn’t want to go to jail or anything. I’m kind of a coward in real life.

But I found a way to show you a bit of what we saw…oh, do brace yourself.

Amazing…

Simply amazing.

Thank you Jillian.

  1. Sounds like soooo much fun! We saw a little Lion King show at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Florida that I thought was very impressive — so I am sure this was fantastic!

  2. NO WAY! Okay I just got through breaking a couple of commandments, and that was after seeing just the first picture. Since I’ve already had the thought, and the sin has been committed, I’m just going to say it – I am SOOOOOOOOOO jealous! What an amazing opportunity, Jillian you’re the best!! Happy Birthday all over again I suppose. (Any chance you can come up with some recipes close to what you had – I’ve heard about it but never experienced it)

  3. Oh, April asked the guy for every single ingredient and she paid close attention. We learned a ton! Maybe we need some fondue recipes for a future post…good idea!

  4. I am jealous! John and I won’t be going to these sort of things until our kids are a little older. I am glad you had a good time!

  5. A. Seriously, we kept looking around for you Lyndi. 2. Next time you’re coming. D. No, you have no choice πŸ˜‰ Period.

  6. It was definitely a good time of year to go… granted we had to plan quite a bit ahead for it, but I liked that it was by my Mom’s birthday. And I definitely agree that we need to have some of the recipes on here… good thinking!

  7. Oh that looked like so much fun! I have always wanted to go to a fondue place. There is one right across the street from the spaghetti factory here- but somehow we always get sucked in there. I am going to have to go! recipes sound good- i need one more gadget!

  9. I got to see the lion King in San Francisco several years ago and it was great! Looks like you all had a really good time.

  10. Yeah…not such a great place for kids. But we can totally figure the recipes. So everyone go out and get a fondue pot…like…you know…NOW…and we’ll meet back here for the recipes.
    {break!}

  11. Well I totally vote –more gadgets! It was sooooo fun and really yummy too. Do it. Go get one. In fact, maybe I’ll scope it out and put on on the sidebar under Amazon–if I find a good deal. hmmmm….

  12. It–the Melting Pot–is way too expensive to take the kids–they’d be the same price. But it would be an incredible date. I’ve really got to get me one of them sometime…date, I mean.
