When I’m Gone~ In Gaeilge
Lighting The World
My Daney-boy and his sweetheart Kortney came all the way from Idaho to man a booth at Summerfest.
The company he works for is called Niki-Nu Lites.
Perhaps you’ve heard meĀ brag talk about them before.
See they make these beautiful, incredible lights, in all kinds of colors…
and all kinds of shapes.
Some even have logos…
very IMPORTANT logos.
These lights are so much fun to put together–easier than I thought too.
Of course, people can also buy them already put together…either way.
The booth attracts a lot of attention during the day, because the lights are so unique.
But the minute the sun starts to dip in the west…
these lights simply glow.
People actually gather around just to stare at them and try to figure out what they’re made of…
and how they’re put together.
And of course, my cute boy is right there to show them. Looks like he’s a little light-headed at the moment. HAaahaha.
I crack myself up!
If you happen to be in Provo this week for the 4th of July–please come visit my boy in his Niki-Nu Lites booth at the Freedom Festival.
Ā
We’ll all be there to help and cheer and clap…and stare.
Hope to see you there!

Outside My Window
There was a little kiddie fair put on by PartyLand the other day. Miss Chomp and Magoo were sooo excited to go, and me? Well, I’m usually up for an adventure. But this time, I decided to shake it up and bit and NOT go out to the actual fair grounds. Oh, the kids and their momma went in alright, but I wanted to stay in the nice warm car.
After all, I had my Lemon/Peppermint water…
a stack of magazines and a good book…
my crocheting….always–ALWAYS…
and even my phone…just in case. Yeah, I was ready for the long haul alright.
Then I looked out my car window and realized that there were some pretty things going on all around me–most of them within arms reach.
I’m pretty sure after soaking in all that lovliness–I fell asleep and dreamed of a pretty little brook…
Ā just outside my window.

A Few Sweet Blossoms
Oh, my brave, sweet flowers are just barely starting to come to life!
I should have clipped these wild things back…but I just didn’t have the heart. They seem to know just where they want to go.
I’ve never grown peonies before and I must say, the blossoms are not there…not there…not there…and then BOOM! Big, feathery and gorgeous. It was a lovely surprise this morning.
The unstoppable Columbine that just keeps blooming and blooming and blooming…and all in the perfect purple-y color.
Not so much a bloom but another sort of pretty thing popping it’s head out from the leaves.
These are my lovely Daney-boy roses. He bought this bush right before he left to Lithuania for two years. He knows me well because one is lavender…
and the other was bright pink…that is, until it froze and came back completely wild…and a deep scarlet.
A beautiful garden with a mind all it’s own.
Just my kind of place.
