Tink’s Fairy Cottage

Finally, finally finished…

and ready to be taken over by fairy folk.

And I dare say that as soon as Lily sees it, there will be pixie dust everywhere.

It has room to lounge around..

or to play Statue Maker in the corner…

or to just sit back and laugh your head off.

Whatever floats your boat.

With button closures to hold it together…

and a cozy pocket to keep everyone calm and collected and safe.  Kinda makes you want to be a fairy–doesn’t it?

Well, if you want to make a sweet little doll house, or barn or garage or fairy cottage–it’s really up to you—I found the instructions at UK Lass in US. Be sure to read through the directions a few times to get it all sorted out in your head. I made 3 at one time–so I’ll have to show you the other two…

as soon as I finish them.

So tell me…what do you think?

One Gracious Birthday

My cute son, Dane has decided to “donate” his 22nd birthday to Charity Water, an amazing non-profit organization determined to see that the population of the world has clean drinking water in our life time. Incredible.

He’s already made over 10% of his goal to raise $2200 by March 31, 2011 in the first two days, and we’d love to see the momentum keep building. As a mom–I can’t even comprehend what it would feel like to have to feed my children water that would make them sick. So to help him with this life changing project–I’m donating 50% of the proceeds from my greenWinkle shop until the end of March. Please check it out–for a good cause, if you’d like.

Thanks my friends–you’re the best.

Just a Hint…

of the fabric frenzy going on around here. Oh, the thread is really flying…

and you know I can never keep secrets to myself.

This little project was suppose to be a surprise for the babies birthdays–Chompy’s 2nd, and Lily and Beck’s 3rd.

But I guess I’m having too much fun sewing, stuffing, cutting…

tacking, stitching, embellishing…

buttoning, strapping, ziz-zagging…

(never mind wanting to play with all this cuteness myself–sheesh!)

to stop and actually give the presents to those sweet patient little souls.

Hopefully, by the end of the week, I’ll show you the finished projects.

And if the babies are lucky–they may just get them before…

high school…

perhaps.

heh.

{True Gifts}

“We all enjoy giving and receiving presents. But there is a difference between presents and gifts. The true gifts may be part of ourselves—giving of the riches of the heart and mind—and therefore more enduring and of far greater worth than presents bought at the store.

“Of course, among the greatest of gifts is the gift of love….

Happy Birthday April!

Sweet Tooth Fairy

Ahhh yes…the rumors are true. I am in love.

April and I spent the evening with Dave at Sweet Tooth Fairy in Provo, to make the final arrangements for the Harry Potter Premiere party next week. Look what he gave us.

No, no. Sharing is not an option…sorry.

This Dave fellow is one smart cookie…or should I say cupcake? Perhaps guys don’t actually like being called cupcakes so sufficeth it to say, he knows his stuff. He’s working on some amazing wizard cupcakes for our party and took us in the back to show us how they are made.

We are in soooo much trouble.

Dude.

I’ll tell you, if I wasn’t already committed to finding a cute little farmer man with a Scottish accent, well, I’m quite certain that I could really fall for a guy who is up to his elbows in chocolate all day and has the Top Secret recipe for a Key Lime frosting that could bring world peace ALL. BY. ITSELF.

Alas, I’ll have to be satisfied with being madly in love with…

the cupcakes.

Somehow—it’s enough.

PS— Gracious Rain is being featured this week on Casual Blogger Community–please, please, check it out and leave a comment. Thank my dah-lings!
