A two year old who loves her kitty more than she fears getting an occasional reminder that sometimes pets wear an invisible “do not disturb” sign around their necks.
The ridiculous Blue Jay that keeps coming back–terrorizing all the smaller birds–but lovely to watch anyway in all his enormous splendor. Seriously, this guy is a big as a chicken. He can’t even sit on the bird feeder because he’s too huge. Silly thing.
This gentle little lady who sits patiently till the blue guy leaves and then waits until all the little birds come back–before hopping down to join them. So sweet.
Yesterday’s pretty clouds that rained just enough to give us…
this beautiful rainbow. Do you suppose a pot of gold could be inside that building on the mountain? It sure looks like it to me. :}
That I was smart enough to take a picture of last season’s football donuts from Krispy Kreme, that the new guy behind the counter said he’d never heard of. Hmph.
Dude. Don’t mess with my football donuts!
That we have one of the biggest games of the year on Saturday–a sort of “Holy War,” if you will.
Go BYU!!
There will be NO wearing of red in this house I tell you.
On this National Day of Service, I can think of no better post than to direct you to another place–to read a beautiful article that just may change your life–oh, I hope so.
Skittles were a brand new candy the year my second baby was born. I ate a ton of them. In fact, I thought they were some kind of fruit group–citrus and berry or something. So when my little Lyndi was born I wasn’t a bit surprised to find that she came with her own fireworks…so to speak. Sugar induced, no doubt…and completely my own doing.
Giggling uncontrollably in the Mother’s Day program and cutting her own bangs the day before family pictures–we never knew what to expect from this one. She’d find any possible excuse for a party, be it Groundhog’s Day or Harry Potter’s Birthday–we simply had to celebrate. Still do, come to think of it.
Peaches…again…and for as long as we can get them. Today may just be a jam day. We’ll see.
T-shirt yarn to make some lovely projects with–you’ll see…very soon! :}
Pine cones…they’re everywhere! We gather them up and do our noble best to save them as fire-starters–but they just keep coming back. Do you suppose they grow up from the concrete?
Firewood—since that mighty wind came along and huffed and puffed and blew the fence down. Thank goodness for the strong and sturdy fellows that gathered and stacked it all.
Blueberries…by the busload, whipped into so many lovely things–stay tuned.
Pretty girls with watering cans to help our thirsty garden. Tomatoes are still sleeping–what is going ON?
Finger puppets from WeeKnit–and we haven’t even gotten out our Halloween and Christmas ones yet! HA! Obsessive you say? I haven’t begun to be obsessive…yet! :}
Blue Jays–you know, the huge, bossy, squawking kind that chase all the other birds away and fill their mouths up with sunflower seeds and fly away somewhere else to shell and eat them. Silly things.
The tail end of our gorgeous summer flowers–showing off, I suppose, one last time before they sleep for a while.
What about you on this lovely day–what do YOU have an abundance of?
