Things To Be Thankful For~

~Pumpkin Spice Marshmallows…whaaaat?! That is such a GOOD idea! Can you just imagine Pumpkin Spice Rice Krispie Treats? Ooooh.

This pretty little Etsy Treasury that Lyndi made. Just click on the snowflake and you’ll see the rest of the snowy loveliness that she found. :}

The specially made “Bella” finger puppets–with sparkly skin even…made by my good friend Jenny and her mom Tracy from WeeKnit. Love. Love. LOVE them.

The next phase in the Stained Glass Window block that I’m making for Dane and Kortney. It is so fun to watch it coming together…just like the pattern book says.

The gorgeous leaves that are still falling all over the neighborhood, even after that huge snowfall. I adore Autumn.

Two little cousins that are growing up sweet little friends.

~Finding a very clever way to store some of the wheat so that I don’t have to haul that heavy old bag around all the time. These half gallon jugs are positively the perfect size.

A skittish kitty that once in a while will sit still for a quick ear scratch. Silly thing.

Holiday videos. I love them all and can’t wait another second. I watched the Grinch—cartoon version, last night. Next up–Miracle on 34th Street. Haven’t decided which version to watch first, the new one that I’m crazy about or the old black and white one…that I’m also crazy about.

Which do YOU like best?

That coy boy that never ceases to smile that killer smile. What a doll.

We are so blessed!

Angry Birds

Yeah…I know what you’re thinking. But the fact is that I have never played the game “Angry Birds” in my life. Honestly, I’ve never even watched someone else play it. No, I’m talking about the real birds in our neighborhood…that are actually…you know…angry. You see, I haven’t kept up my part of the bargain where I see to it that the feeders are always full and they, in turn, allow me to stare at them and occasionally let me snatch a picture or two.

In an attempt to redeem myself in their eyes, I bought a huge bag of bird seed and quickly filled each feeder…but then, you know what happened.

Before they could even peck one little seed out of the darn things–the blizzard of 2012 hit and buried everything. Everything I tell you.

No, no.

They still aren’t speaking to me yet.

It may take awhile.

Complete White Out

Overnight the leaves on the giant willow tree in the backyard turned a gorgeous nearly-neon yellow, and started to fall. Oh, but not fast enough.

While I  was frantically snapping the photos, the predicted snow started to fall and it got cold…fast.

I watched from the doorway for as long as I could, but look at the size of those flakes! Have one of them land on your bare neck and see how long you can take it. Brrrr…

Oh, it was beautiful though, and it came down…

all…day…long. I know I’ve said this before, but I’ve always dreamed about being totally snowed in for a week or so.

Of course, I’d need the furnace to work overtime and a big basket of yarn right next to the couch for my fantasy to come totally true.

 And never-ending hot chocolate could work well too. :}

What’s the weather like where you are? Do you love it?
