A Day Out With the Guy

This might not look like much to you–just a silly Zen Water from Fiiz.

And this might not look like much to you either–just that cute boy grabbing some yummy lunch.

But let me just tell you–this was a fun, big deal to me.

You seeeee—just before this guy got married, I said to him, “if you are ever in town, just running boring old errands, come and get me, and I’ll go with you.”

I figured, that way, we could visit and make the boring stuff a little more fun–not to mention give me something to do besides talk to my kitties all day. Haha. Sad commentary on MY life right now.

Good grief.

Most of time, of course, he has the love of his life to run errands with. But on those rare occassions when she is working and he’s in this neck of the woods doing something dull…

well, it’s nice to know that he still likes my company as a far distant second.

I’ll gladly take that…

any day.

A Basket of Babies

I honestly love that these little ones were born in the box in my closet.

What it has meant is that I’ve gotten to spend so much more time watching them grow…

because they have literally been right at my feet.

And I’ve loved every second.

Cheddar Pickles

Are you ready for an easy snack that’s so dang good you may have a hard time sharing?

Well, I’ve got you—try this one!!

It’s so simple and quick that you’llĀ  be able to make a few batches in just a few minutes. If you’re not alone–you’ll need to keep them coming.

Fair warning.

All it takes is shredded cheddar cheese and pickle slices.

That’s it.

Butter all the cups in a cupcake pan. Sprinkle in a pinch of cheese. Pat 12 pickle slices dry with a paper towel and set one pickle slice on top of the cheese.

Now sprinkle another pinch of cheese on top of the pickle.

Bake for 14-16 minutes. Remove from pan to a paper towel.

I had a few left and kept them in the fridge, and was surprised at how good they were cold. I knowww…weird.

Please try this one!!

It has become a happy little adiction…

and I’m not a bit sorry.

Heh, heh.

Copy Cats- Eva & Thor

Here are my latest Copy Cats!!

This is Eva.

Ā

And here we have…Thor!

Eva and Thor are on their way to Portugal this very minute as a birthday surprise to my friend Teresa’s son. Sweet Teresa is the dear friend who sent me a Seed Fairy many years ago. It’s hanging in my house still.

I sure hope she loves her kitties!!

Making them was a labor of love.

Brave Girl

Once upon a time, there was this cute girl who played soccer. She play so much soccer that one day, she totally tore her ACL.

Fast forward and here we are. She was called in much sooner than expected,Ā  for repair surgery because someone else canceled and she got their spot. Brave girl, Lil!

Back at home now, she is loving fruit smoothies and sitting back in the recliner…exactly like she’s supposed to.

And her mom’s a pro at adjusting her brace…

and unwrapping…

and unwrapping…

and unwrapping her leg…

to see what a good job the doctor did! And what a great job Lily is doing too. Not much bruising, so far.

She’s even mastering crutches like a pro….something I never did figure out.Ā

We’re so proud of you honey!! Rest and keep healing. We love you!
