Snickerdoodle Snack Mix

Nothing makes you hungrier than screaming your liver out for your favorite team at the Superbowl.

If you do the football thing like we do at this house–“kick off” the perfect game and totally “score” with these “goal” winning snacks–sure to “tackle” your “team’s” hunger.

I crack myself up.

  1. My football team (soccer) is Norwich City Football Club (the Canaries) We’re top of our league at the moment, but the first match of the season, we were beaten 7-0. Since then I’ve opened a bottle of wine at kickoff. My DH calls it my ‘anaesthetic’. Now we’re top of the league I can’t really justify it (but don’t tell anyone) luv Lesley

  2. I’ve never understood the whole super bowl things myself but I’ve had some men folk at my house that have been pretty interested over the years. A long time ago we chose to not watch the TV on Sunday which could have been a problem except several families, with lots of men folk, in our neighborhood had the same commitment. So everyone they knew was sworn to secrecy (these were some pretty good size men folk and could have caused damage had the oath been broken)to in no way reveal one minor detail of the game. They then gathered at 5:00 a.m. or some unearthly hour, Monday morning for a party, the likes of which you’ve never seen. Judy Grant just happened to be the best cook in the whole town and they were treated to fresh cinnamon rolls, eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes and other stupendous culinary delights. Minus the sleezie commercials (I know they’re not all bad) and wardrobe malfunction at half time, you can watch the whole game and still be ready for school/work on time, prepared to over analyze every play with the rest of the guys. It was a fun solution and created lots of special memories.

  3. Aww, I didn’t realize today is Dane’s birthday! I totally want to have the baby today, but unless she gets moving, no 2/6/10 for her!

  4. Good work on posting football stuff on Dane’s birthday. He would love that!

I love that you still said go vikings. What a crack up! 😉

  5. Do you play for this team, or do you just love to watch this team? Sounds to me like you bring them luck either way!

    :]

  6. What a great idea! Wouldn’t it be fun to get up or STAY up for that matter and have a party? I would totally do that. Right now, we live across the street from the “ZUKE.” He’s the guy who makes all the sports predictions in the newspaper in these parts. We adore him, but seriously, there would be no earthly way to keep the secret of who won around here because everyone is so nuts about it. Including me, I’m afraid. However, I’m thinking that when Daney gets back, we may be in for some attitude change–which we will wholeheartedly support.

I love this suggestion though, because Heaven knows we stay up late for “Twilight,” “Harry Potter,” and “Pirates.” I’m pretty sure we’d do it for football.

    WE LOVE FOOTBALL!!!

  7. Ohhhh…..Daney would love to share his birthday with sweet baby S. You need to go for a walk, eat some spicy Mexican Food, get a foot rub, take a warm bath, watch funny movies, and eat eggplant Parmesan—all of which can help jumpstart labor–provided that the baby and mom are both ready.

    We’ll be thinking of you!

  8. Yeah what would he say if his name and the Vikings name were mentioned in the same post. Hee hee.

Dang I miss that cute boy.

  9. Happy Birthday Daney!! That picture is SO DANE CUTE!!! Haha!! I crack myself up too!!! 🙂

  10. Your posts are always so fun. What yummy football food. Dane looks so cute in that photo. Wish the Vikings were in it for ya. Still will be fun. I love the commercials.
