for all of you–my friends.
Have a lovely Thanksgiving!

to read at the Thanksgiving table.
If not at the table…then at least in a quiet moment before the feast.
I’m off now to make the stuffing…
and the pumpkin cake roll…
and the jello.
Hope your day is filled with warmth, and family and food and friends.

One week ago, this very day
we gathered all the little turkeys together,
and cooked and talked and laughed…
and played and ate…
oh, my–
how…
we
ate.
It was a glorious day–but then, my camera died so I had to gather all these pictures from random strangers and small woodland creatures. And now…a week later, when all the leftovers are finally gone,
I can actually prove that the day happened—in the first place.
Seemed important somehow.
Thanks for humoring me.

“This Sabbath day has been designated as a day of thanksgiving, a day of gratitude—even a day of prayer. We pause, we ponder, we reflect on the blessings an all-wise Heavenly Father has bestowed upon us, His children, by bringing peace to the battlefield of war and comfort to the hearts of so many in this wonderful world where we live and which we call home”
Thomas S. Monson
