Granny Square Baby Cubes

Oh, the joy of the sweet, basic crocheted Granny Square and all it’s little pokey holes just perfect for those dimply little fingers. In fact, it was so satisfying to put this small cube together that I couldn’t help myself…

I had to make more in different sizes. If you’ve ever made a granny square, you know– it’s easy to become…

addicted.

The hardest part of the whole project was finding the foam rubber to go inside. Turns out, JoAnn’s is the place. I found large 2″, 4″ and 6″ scrap pieces–labeled “upholstery foam” for about $10 each. Huge pieces.

If you crochet then making the granny squares, cutting out the foam and sewing them all together is an absolute cinch. And with the huge pieces I have left…let’s just say…

there’s no end in sight.

AND I’m getting no complaints from my pattern tester either!

All That Is Good~

In my world right this minute.

A girly-girl in sweet little Batman pajamas. Wouldn’t Uncle Bald Kid be proud?

The first newlyweds are finally back from Texas, and they say Utah’s 103 degrees isn’t very hot.  Feels hot to me.

Low imagination level cupcake decorating that surprisingly tasted very, very good.

A bunch of cute kids that are brave enough…

to dance their hearts out in a very crowded park.

Discovering that Incredible Fruit Pizza can indeed be made with whole wheat cookie crust. More on that later. It was wonderful and now considered a health food. HAA!

A little dude that actually fell asleep on the floor…unprompted. Woohooo!

Isn’t summer the best? Tell me–

what’s good in your world today?  :}

Mr. Magoo has a new trick.

In fact, I wish you could thumb through the photos like one of those old flip books.

Then you’d see for sure how tricky our boy is…

and how very clever…

and oh, so fast…

and incredibly pleased with himself he is.

I do believe some clapping is in order.
