Thankful Music

This guy, right here– my cute boy Dane, is taking classes in using technical resourses to make music–and is he ever having fun doing it! He started in October so he set up a full line of Halloween tunes. Some are silly kid songs and some are surprisingly spooky!

His YouTube page is called Light Shine University.

Then he moved on to a whole new, quite forgotten genre and made a long list of Thanksgiving music. I’ve been listening to it for weeks and I have to say, it’s lovely to have tons of gratitude-type lyrics in my head–especially this time of year.

He has written one from a true story of a sweet conversation with his little daughter that melts my heart.

And this one…is about my dad and it makes me sob. It’s beautiful.

I’m so proud of him. Please check out his whole page for tons of beautiful, fun stuff.

More Copy Cats

Ok, this is getting a little more challenging…

but still…

so DANG fun!! I love sorting out all the patterns and personalities of the kitties with each one being so awesome and specific.

I’m starting to look at cats a lot more closely now.

They are all so unique and lovely, but my crochet brain is turning them all into YARN!!!

Occupational hazard, I suppose.

Apparently, I have one volunteer already!!

Ohhh Dali….

Bring It Halloween!!

Ohhhhh….yeahhhhh. We are ready for Halloween over here and I can PROVE it!

We have the Lego pumpkin patch with the giant mouse…

the creepy hand and ceramic Jack-o-lantern…

the spooky black kitty…

and fluffy ghost on a pumpkin chair.

We have creepy books and a little haunted house….

Monster Mash singing Frankie…

and the Snoopy bunch in their costumes.

We have popcorn balls…

and molasses cookies.

We are ready in every possible way!!

Bwahh hahahaha!!

Oh, and we have candy….

so much candy.

Happy Halloween everyone!!

Hee, hee.

The Closeness of a Cat

I’ve heard many people say that they prefer dogs over cats because, “Cats are just too independent.” That’s true in many ways, I suppose. They love to come and go as they please–especially if they have a cat door…

which of course, mine do.  So, no problem there.

So, yeah. My kitties are free as finches–day and night with the whole wide world at their little feet. Yet for some reason, the choice they make over and over and over is to stay here…

and be by me.

And how I love them for it.
