Those Silly Spooks

Our sweet little Halloween party has evolved into an event of huge proportions. So much so that we have to meet at a place that is bigger than any of our houses are.  Pretty fun to see that all those little spooks from years ago, are just great big even crazier spooks nowadays–with a whole new generation of littles coming right along behind.

Ooooh, I love these people.

General Conference 2016

October General Conference–easily one of my favorite events of the year.

Listening to our leaders speak…

while surrounded by my sweet family.

And fabulous food never hurts either.  I was too busy eating it to take pictures.

Har de har.

Eggs~Eggs~Eggs!

Every dang day–this is what we gather in our cute little basket from our even cuter little hens.

And it’s getting to the point that we can merrily share with people  we REALLY like and still have a zillion eggs to eat ourselves. Old Rhenny boy is in scrambled-egg Heaven.

And THAT, my friends, was the goal.

Heh, heh.

End of Summer Bake Sale

Little Miss Chomp wanted to hold an end of Summer Bake Sale. Well, in truth, she would have preferred it to be a BEGINNING of Summer Bake Sale, but it was put off–as these things often are–until there was simply no summer left.

But she wouldn’t be deterred–the brave soul. She persevered and at last, at last, the day came.  Her mom and dad made goodies for her to sell and she even used her sweet little cash register.

It was truly a hit. In fact, after seeing her “haul” I had to wonder if I’m in the wrong business.

Haa.

Sweet Marion~ Christmas

“I always looked forward to Christmas time at Grandmas house. She had a white flocked Christmas tree with a colored light turntable underneath that made the tree change colors–it was pure magic. She decorated the tree with beautiful icicles and angel figurines and delicate glass ornaments. It sparkled like crazy, and I can still hear Grandpa’s Mitch Miller holiday cassette playing in the background. Is there anything like Christmas, really? It’s just magic.”
