Crazy Hair Day!!

How on EARTH do you get ready for Crazy Hair Day at school?

Well, I’ll tell you. If you’re sweet Miss “T” you find one of your favorite stuffies…

and you wrap it up in a bunch of pony tails…

and carry it around all day on top of your head!

If you’re cute little Hazel you make two…

two swirly CUPCAKES….

complete with sparkles and REAL sprinkles!! Whaaat?!

And if you’re silly little “C” and the dreams doing your own hair finally, finally come true…

then heaven only knows what you’ll end up with! Haha.

A Sweet Day

This is the season for our church’s Primary Programs. Knowing that this was our Hazel’s very last time before she goes into Young Women’s…I couldn’t help myself. I took a picture.

At the end, they asked anyone who has their mission call, or who is waiting for their mission call, or who is planning on serving a mission to come up and sing, We’ll Bring the World His Truth. It was so lovely to see both Beckham…who is waiting for his call, and Lily (but you can only see the top of her head) who already has her call–to Milan, Italy!!–both go up together to sing. It was so touching to see the whole front of their ward filled with prospective missionaries.

What an amazing bunch of young people.

We are so blessed.

Park City Road Trip…

We really do live in an incredibly beautiful place with all this lovely stuff right in our backyard.

School Days

Summer went waaay too fast! Here we are with these cuties going off to the first day of school. Hazel is going to love 6th grade!!

K, T & L are ready for their new year too! They look adorable in their uniforms.

And of course, Beckham and Lily are too grown up for these school day pictures! Bahaha! They’re happy to be the free folks, for a few weeks anyway.

Oh, my goodness, I wish we could slow it all down. I want to just hold these people still long enough to get a good, hard, loving look at them before they flit off to their future.

Doesn’t seem so long ago that these school kids were not grandkids…but myyyy kids….who are, of course, all grown up now.

But I still remember clearly the magical smell of new notebooks and pencils, and erasers –from their childhood…

and from mine.

Still gives me goosebumps.
