When You Finally Turn Six

When you’ve waited for absolutely ever…

and the day finally comes…

when you get to blow out the candles…

and open the presents…

and eat the very special Bluey popsicles…

and play in your new Super Kitties tent..

well then…

I’d say it’s a very special day, indeed.

Happy Birthday little Miss C.

I sure love you,

:] Grammy.

Those First Days

It’s always nice, if you’re going to do something awesome and amazing and a little bit scary and a little bit fun…

if you can get a happy little parade of cousins who love you– to wave you off.

Happy Kindergarten “C”! You’re going to love it!!

School Days

Summer went waaay too fast! Here we are with these cuties going off to the first day of school. Hazel is going to love 6th grade!!

K, T & L are ready for their new year too! They look adorable in their uniforms.

And of course, Beckham and Lily are too grown up for these school day pictures! Bahaha! They’re happy to be the free folks, for a few weeks anyway.

Oh, my goodness, I wish we could slow it all down. I want to just hold these people still long enough to get a good, hard, loving look at them before they flit off to their future.

Doesn’t seem so long ago that these school kids were not grandkids…but myyyy kids….who are, of course, all grown up now.

But I still remember clearly the magical smell of new notebooks and pencils, and erasers –from their childhood…

and from mine.

Still gives me goosebumps.

Our Own Toothless

What is going ON with this little sweety and her teeth?!

One of her back molars came out last week–out of nowhere.  She hasn’t even lost all her front baby teeth yet.

What on earth?

Then, the next week, one of the bottom  middles came out.

Later, that same day–the top one got all wiggley.

What is happening?!

Well, she gave it a yank and BAM! that one came out too. Holy SMOKES–look at the root on that nasty thing!  That looks positively wicked.

Poor girl. But yeah, that’s her…laughing.

So, it looks like this little cutie is going to be eating pudding and baby food for the foreseeable future.

Nothing too rough because it might just…you know…

make her teeth fall out.Â
