A few days before “K’s” birthday I read on her Birthday List that she would love…
a crocheted Momo.
He’s Aang’s little squirrely critter from the Avatar series.
And I have to say– it was a happy little adventure the whole way, and turned out just as I’d hoped.
So, I kissed him on the head and boxed him up.
She was–I think–pleasantly surprised…
which is always so good for my heart.
And now…”K” and Appa have their friend.
Happy Birthday “K.” I love you.
We had big plans for my birthday–we were going up to the canyon, like we do this time of year. But then, all THIS happened. Now, honestly, you will never catch me praying that it will stop raining…ever. But it did make rearranging our canyon picnic–non-negotiable.
Kindly, sweetly April offered to corral the party and have it at her house.
She even made molasses cookies for all the kids to decorate. We used to do that when my kids were little…and when I was little too.
Then we got to play my favorite game in all the world. It’s fun getting to boss everyone around. Heh, heh.
No matter what you think that score card says– of course, I won the game…
because it’s my birthday. That, my friends, is how it works.
So ha.
Everybody had fun decorating the cookies according to their own personality–as you can plainly see.
Heh, heh.
What a lovely birthday.
What a lovely bunch of kids.
What a lovely life.
I’m so grateful.
This little girly loves chickens, and Hello Kitty, and cats, and minecraft and Spidey and clownfish and Kirby and Avatar and the Chosen Adventures….
and blowing out candles!!

For my birthday–Jillian and her family gave me a ticket to the play–
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
What a wonderful evening we had!
The play was really incredible.
All of the magic that took place on that stage…
was simply…
unbelievable.
We kept looking at each other and whispering…
“How on earth did they do that?!”

The whole evening was simply magical and I loved every second of it.
When you’ve waited for absolutely ever…
and the day finally comes…
when you get to blow out the candles…
and open the presents…
and eat the very special Bluey popsicles…
and play in your new Super Kitties tent..
well then…
I’d say it’s a very special day, indeed.
