The Kitty Couch

On our way home from Taco Bell the other night we turned up a funny little side street and saw this ridiculously abandoned couch, just sitting there on the side of the road. So tacky–right?

Then, on closer inspection–we saw three little creatures that were perfectly thrilled with the arrangement. One of the kitties ducked between the cushions when we stopped to grab the photo, but as you can see, the other two weren’t ruffled in the least. Made me wonder if there were any others lurking in the stuffing. Haha.

They looked well fed and clean like they were someone’s pets…just, you know, having a night out…on a tacky little couch…on the side of the road…

just down from Taco Bell.

Perhaps they’ve ordered take out.

Power Movers

Dane and Kortney had to move from one house to another in a hurry. The weather was getting colder and they wanted to be done. The guys and girls and even kids helped move nearly everything but the garage needed some organizational help. Who better than these sweet ladies?

From what I hear, they had that place whipped into shape in a couple of hours. Moving is ALWAYS hard and disruptive–that’s a fact. But when you have some happy, sweet sisters that are always willing to turn hard work into an adventure, the time does fly by a bit better. Many hands and all that, you know?

And honestly, what more could you ask for?

I sure do love this family of mine.

A Dark Knight Kitty

My son-in-law Josh is getting pretty dang good with his laser printer. So good in fact, that he couldn’t resist the urge to make a costume for Mr. Hobbes.

Oh, yeeeeah. He was, as you can see, thrilled.

Buck up kitty. We must make sacrifices for the sake of Halloween…

ahhhhhh…

spirit. Yeah, that’s it. Spirit.

Halloween is almost here, and YOU my fine, furry friend–are going as…

the Bat Cat.

Fear him.

A Moment On Memory Lane Puzzle

Whenever it’s that lovely time when leaves start to change and fall–from late September to Thanksgiving, I simply adore getting out puzzles that show how it’s suppose to look outside….you know, in my fantasy world.

It’s been warmer here than usual for this time of year, so our leaves are starting to change–but no actual falling yet.

But I don’t really mind because I just whip out a puzzle that helps me feel the crisp, chilly air…

kids playing in piles of leaves…

all the little things…

that are easy to miss…

until we slow down a bit and let it all just happen around us.

Happy Fall everyone!!

Salem 1692

Haha! I LOVE this shirt and I would absolutely wear it. But first, let me ask–do you “get it?”
If you don’t–you’ll just need to Google it. If you DO get it–let me explain why I love it. No, I’m not now, nor have I ever been into the dark arts or anything satanic or creepy like that. But as it turns out, neither were most of the poor souls who were wrongfully put to death, in Salem–back then.
Many of those women were midwives, birth workers, herbalists and healers who used oils and plants and tinctures to actually, honestly help people in pain. For that- thousands of them were accused of witchcraft and hung or drowned or burned.
By those standards, my daughters and I would certainly have been on the hit list. It was a crazy, terrible time.
I know the world is pretty nuts right now, but I think it’s still a better time to be alive.
In fact, I’d wear this sweatshirt proudly, with gratitude…and a big old grin. 😊
