- 1 cup butter- softened
- 1-1/2 cups sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsps vanilla
- 1-3/4 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 3 cups quick-cooking rolled oats
- Heat oven to 350°F.
- Beat butter, and sugars in large bowl until light and fluffy; blend in eggs and vanilla.
- Stir together flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to butter mixture, mixing well.
- Stir in oats.
- Spread into a lightly greased jelly roll pan or cookie sheet.
- Bake 12 to 14 minutes or until set.
- Do not over bake.
- Cool.
- Cut into bars and serve alone or with ice cream.
