Buttermilk Cornbread
Ingredients
  • ½ cup butter
  • ⅓ cup honey
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • ½ tsp. baking soda
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • ½ tsp. salt
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease a 8 inch square pan or round pie pan.
  3. Stir together dry ingredients and set aside.
  4. Beat butter and honey until creamy.
  5. Add eggs and mix well.
  6. Add buttermilk and dry ingredients and beat until no lumps remain.
  7. Pour batter into pan.
  8. Bake for 25 minutes or until slightly golden on top.
